Return and Refund Policy

 

At Sharp Knives Malta, we are committed to offering high-quality Japanese kitchen knives, accessories, and professional sharpening services. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

Right of Withdrawal (Online Orders)

In line with EU consumer law, customers who purchase products online have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the date the goods are received, without providing a reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify us by email within 14 days of delivery.

Conditions for Returns

Returned items must:

  • Be unused, unsharpened, and unengraved
     
  • Be in original condition and packaging
     
  • Include proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
     

Items that show signs of use, sharpening, engraving, or damage caused after delivery are not eligible for return.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-refundable and non-returnable:

  • Custom or laser-engraved products
     
  • Sharpened knives or tools
     
  • Sharpening services
     
  • Hairdresser and barber scissors sharpening services
     
  • Gift cards or vouchers
     
  • Products purchased in-store (unless faulty)
     

Return Shipping

  • Return shipping costs are paid by the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrect
     
  • Returned items should be sent using a tracked and insured service
     
  • Sharp Knives Malta is not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments
     

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • You will be notified of approval or rejection
     
  • Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 working days
     
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
     
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable
     

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, including clear photos of the issue.
We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost.

In-Store Purchases

Items purchased in our Paola or Naxxar stores are non-refundable, except in cases of manufacturing defects or as required by Maltese and EU consumer law.
